Carbon Management

After you have measured your carbon footprint, and before purchasing carbon credits, you should try to reduce your carbon footprint as much as possible. This is because it makes
better environmental sense to reduce Greenhouse Gas output where possible, rather than simply purchasing carbon credits, thereby paying someone else to solve the problem for you. However, where it is NOT possible to reduce carbon emissions to zero, then carbon credits provide a valuable way for a business to reduce their greenhouse impact to zero, and do something for the planet.

See our list Twenty Business Energy Savers for ideas on how to reduce your carbon footprint.

If you are already certified as Green Carbon 'Carbon Measured', then once you put in place a Carbon Management plan - you can become 'Green Carbon: Carbon Managed Certified'. The costs for implementing a carbon management plan with you are generally between $1,000 - $5,000 + GST
